Leisure through Technology
Machines that work for you and me
Leisure through Technology
Robots looking after me
(Elmer: Hey, I ain't wiping your arse!!)
Its a busy world I got no time free
Gotta find a way to get a break for me
Gonna buy myself a robot man
Who's gonna do for me everything he can
Yes, he can (Elmer: hey what's going on here?)
Yes, he can (Elmer: I don't like the sound of this)
Yes, he can (Elmer: What???!)
Yes, he can (Elmer: I don't think so!)
Leisure through Technology (gotta have that technology)
Machines that work for you and me (well I gotta have it now, gotta have it now)
Leisure through Technology (oh, yeah! oh yeah!)
Robots looking after me
(Elmer: Well you can bite my shiny metal ass!!)
He can clean the house, mop the floor
While I sit at the beach watchin' chicks galore
He can get me a drink, mow the lawn, too
There's nothing my metal man can't do
Yes, he will (Elmer: no I ain't!)
Yes, he will (Elmer: oh, no I ain't!)
Yes, he will (Elmer: you can shove it, man!)
Yes, he will (Elmer: read my lips, jerk!)
Leisure through Technology (gotta have that technology)
Machines that work for you and me (well I gotta have it now, gotta have it now)
Leisure through Technology (oh, yeah! oh yeah!)
Robots looking after me
(Elmer: Loser!)
Dr Smith: Hey now listen metal man, you were made to work for us...
Elmer: I don't take orders from you, meat head!
Turbo Girl: Come on, guys!
Dr Smith: say, how would you like a trip to the scrap yard?
Elmer: Right, that's it jerk, I'll punch your head in!
Turbo Girl: Will you two just shut up!

Washing machine
03:25
|
|||
I had my car all packed, I was ready to move
I’d found a new apartment, stylish, with plenty of room
Packed all my bags, my equipment and inventions
But my clothes got all filthy, despite best of intentions
The budget was tight but I needed something
Didn’t have a device that could get them all clean
But then out on the sidewalk it appeared to me
A little twin-tub number just discarded and free!
I could hardly wait, could not believe my eyes,
Grabbed the trolley made a dash had to get it inside
Plugged it in, switched it on and it worked like a charmer
Manna from heaven, whitegood in shining armour!
It’s my all-time favourite washing machine
Just keeps on going every day and it’s been
My all-time favourite washing machine
Keeps my shirts and underwear clean
It’s a compact friend whom you can always depend
Spins at high speed and the colours don’t bleed
And it’s great for small spaces and it fits in all places
A gift to all humanity....my washing machine!!
So please, ponder this, if you spare me the time
If your clothes need a clean, just remember my rhyme
It won’t let you down through your busiest days
And my twin-tub-o-matic has the greatest bouquets
It’s my all-time favourite washing machine
Keeps going every day and forever it’s been
My all-time favourite washing machine
My laundry is a dream it’s all white and clean
It’s my all-time favourite washing machine
Just keeps on going every day and it’s been
My all-time favourite washing machine
Keeps my shirts and underwear clean

Brown note apparatus
04:14
|
|||
The day started out somewhat less than inspiring
It all began with some electrical wiring
Soldered it together, added several components
Then a terrifying sound came and threw me to the ground
It was a Brown Note Apparatus
I built a Brown Note Apparatus
Took the gadget out to try my invention
But the new device began attracting attention
Every time I pressed a button came a rumbling noise
People stared and screamed and started running for the toilets
From my Brown Note Apparatus
I built a Brown Note Apparatus
Newspapers flash the headlines about me
And my new device that brings havoc and misery
Everywhere I go people bent over double
Seems to me I'm up to my knees in trouble
US Army, the CIA, covert operations watch me day by day
Surveillance drones scan the roof to my floor
There's a black van parked outside - they want to look at my
Brown Note Apparatus
We got the Brown Note Apparatus
Brown Note Apparatus
We got the Brown Note Apparatus

Turbo Girl (2011 remix)
04:27
|

Low compression is the way to go you gotta
Save your money and fit a turbo
You got to shop around, and get a good deal
Before you can make your tyres really squeal
If you want to be up front, not feel like a fool
You've got to fit a turbo to be really cool
What ever happened to the good old days when a
Cam and extractors was the only way
Natural aspiration was the way it used to be
Now it's just all force feed
Force feed, force feed
Now it's just all force feed
Force feed, force feed
Now it's just all force feed
You've got to pipe your engine up just right
Before you can get your petrol to ignite
You've got to tune your motor all night
Before you can launch it into flight
If you can't get a turbo and be really cool
You've got to take yourself back to school
Automatic gearbox with overdrive
Never been slow all his life!
Natural aspiration was the way it used to be
Now it's just all force feed
Force feed, force feed
Now it's just all force feed
Force feed, force feed
Now it's just all force feed
Turbo Girl, you're a Turbo Girl
You really send me round this great big world
Turbo Girl, you're a Turbo Girl
You really send me round this great big world

Alien in New York
04:18
|
|||
I descend on a strange place to get away from my world
Gotta find a new space - don’t want to be nobody’s girl
I’ve gotta get away, gotta fly away, gonna flip you all the bird
So I’m off in my ship for a thousand light years
From my home I disappear
The alien girl searches the galaxy for some sort of meaning. She comes across a small blue-green planet – the planet Earth. Population: 7 billion. Will this be the place for her?
I step out of my space ship to greet this brand new home
Everyone’s staring at me as I stand alone
They continue on in oblivion as I yell and scream out loud
They’re all caught in a void lost in their own dream
In this space no one hears you scream
This world this world is a strange world, I just don’t understand
The creatures, the creatures in this world have got me screaming mad
This world this world is a strange world, I just don’t understand
The people, the people around here just don’t give a damn.
The alien girl finds things not quite what she hoped for. What’s she to do – stay here, or return home?
I’ve gotta get away
Got to get back to the world that I know and I love and who love me
People here on planet Earth spend their time looking at screens for their dreams but it’s never all it seems
This world this world is a strange world, I just don’t understand
The creatures, the creatures in this world must be freakin’ mad
This world this world is a strange world, I just don’t understand
There’s no place like home
There’s no place like home
There’s no place like home

Push button
03:21
|
|||
When I get in my car to go for a drive
I open the door of the garage inside
I press a button and the door goes up
I press a button and the door goes down
Door goes up
Door goes down
He presses a button and the door goes down
So I go down town to see the stock exchange
And I see the investors all look at me strange
I press a button and the shares go up
I press a button and the shares go down
Shares go up
Shares go down
He presses a button and the shares go down
I saw the President of the USA
He called me in to see what I would say
There was a red telephone on a big oak table
And a box with a button and a long long cable
I asked "what happens if you press that button"
And he said "if I do there'll be trouble come knockin'"
He turned around just to answer a call
Then I pressed the button and I ran for the door
I pressed that button and the missile went up
I pressed that button and the missile came down
Missile goes up
Missile goes down
He pressed that button and the missile came down
Shares go up
Shares go down
He presses a button and the shares go down
Door goes up
Door goes down
He presses a button and the door goes down

The Future now
04:34
|
|||
Living the fast life can be all it seems
Reaping the fruit of our dreams
Technology doing the work of mankind
The deaf now can hear and there’s sight for the blind
The Future now
The Future now
Entranced by the song it caresses your mind
Electronic music symphonic divine
Enticing your heart as it captures your soul
This great Noble Age of technology bold
But sometimes don’t you wonder if it’s really all it seems
Living our lives through machines
If it’s really all it’s worth then why are we still more in need
The rich and the poor - we still bleed
The Future now
The Future now
The Future now
The Future now
Can we really progress, can we be redeemed
The purpose of mankind, can it be esteemed
In this future where God has no place to belong
As we die, our androids live on
So I look into the past to see the future stare at me
Have we really missed what should be?
And do you really want to live within a world that’s so extreme
It scares me to think it’s not a dream
The Future now
The Future now
The Future now
The Future now

Standing on ruins
04:43
|
|||
Leisure through Technology
Is not all that it seems to be
Machinery breaking down on me
I yearn for an easy life for me
It's getting worse as time goes by
The more I think, I wonder why
Upon all these things I rely
We've come too far
A mechanical heart can't cry
It's all failed, machine's broke down
Your control, your power has turned on you now
The things you thought would set you free
Have made you a slave to technology
We're standing on ruins
Of our present civilisation
One robot to rule them all
This isn't how I intended it to be
